Hello everyone,

It's that time of the year where Global Chat is reaching it's next birthday milestone and this year marks the 5 year anniversary of the chat and community.

I've been working hard for the last few months planning lots of cool things to celebrate the occasion and I can now finally reveal the surprises that have been waiting to burst out of my fingertips.

Global Chat Awards 2012:

Yes, that's right, the Global Chat Awards will be returning. There were some problems where the same few people would always win awards so this year I've revised the categories and added some new ones to open up the awards for the chance for some Global Younglings to grab some awards!

Stay tuned for more information and how to get involved with the awards. The thread should be out within the next week giving everyone enough time to vote.


Events, Events and more Events:

I've planned 9 jam packed days of events for everyone to get together and have a bit of fun. Huge variety of events including Clan Wars, Hide and Seek and a bit of Boss Hunting.

We are in no way limited to these specific events I have planned. If anyone else wants to create and host an event during the celebrations week then please go ahead, feel free to create a thread about the event or just randomly announce it in the chat

I am going to be creating a special thread for everyone to share their memories of Global Chat over the years and any funny stories they want to share of their time in the chat and as a part of the overall Global Chat community.

I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been a part of the chat over the last 5 years, without everyone the chat wouldn't be what it is today. It's great to realise how strong our community is after all these years and how many friends we have all made through the hard work of everyone who has ever been a part of the chat keeping it together and making Global Chat the best it can be.
