I've recently downloaded steam and counter strike, but something is wrong with the graphics. The problem looks like this:

What do I do? D: I've deleted/reinstalled CS:S and i've updated my drivers... do I need a new graphics card?

Well, i'm not a computer genius, so i might be wrong, but i would say the graphic card is the problem. I had something that looked like that in Need for speed, but that was with trees.

Yeah. I'd say so.

Oddly enough, sometimes it's not that the graphics card is crap, but that it's basically too good for the game. Although with CS:S (continued support etc.) I'd say the problem would be that the graphics/video card you have is shitting itself with it.

Have you ever played any other games of relatively equal/higher specs on the rig that's screwing up?

I bought this card and it works VERY well. Maxes out a lot of game on maximum graphics settings and is easy to slightly overclock. I can max out Crysis 2 no prob with this card, so counter strike will be a breeze >.>

It is a bit big though, will probably cover up a second PCI slot if they're close together like mine. So keep that in mind. (Mine also covered the 4 top SATA plug ins to the Mobo, but I dont need them so meh.)
