That's...weird...I'll ask some people and have a look around to see if there's a common cause of that open with problem.
On a side note,
I've recently updated to Norton 360
I can say with confidence that Nortons is amongst the worst commercial security software I've ever dealt with. (I'm also iffy about Trend Micro and McAfee)
Their last good release was in 2003.
Every major release since then has had a major flaw that made their credibility, in my eyes, sink. I could go rattling them off, but that's fairly counter-productive. One thing I'll mention is though, until it became seriously outdated and started becoming incompatible, I had 2003 on my computers. (To give you a time span until ~2007/8 I think)
Where's all this leading? Nortons is (or at least,
was when I was bothered to even look at it) notorious for being incompatible with some software, and causing shutouts to these programs, even days or months after initial installation.
Another problem I've seen is Nortons (
and McAfee >=( ) not actually finding malware, until
after another anti-malware program has.
To be honest, however, I've had little experience with
current Nortons software. Is Norton 360 any good? I personally doubt it, and with every release in the last decade after 2003 having a glaring flaw, I'm not going to put it on my, or anyone else's systems to find out.
Tl;dr
I'll look into it, but if experience tells me anything, Nortons is a piece of shit.
