Too soon.

Whether you liked him or not you should have some respect, he had a big impact on the whole world.

Computers wouldn't be this advanced without him, and Bill Gates would've had to find someone else to steal from.

And without him there would be no Pixar, probably no Toy Story, and animation might not be as advanced yet.
Imagine a world without Toy Story.

I was in the minecraft canary irc channel and I asked if food restored the same amount of hunger as it did with health in 1.7, I asked if apples restored 2 hearts, someone said not even Apples could heal Steve Jobs.

Everything in computers is just stealing from other technology. It's not like he just came up with everything, after DOS was 'stolen' it just built up from there. Even with 'groundbreaking' things like the iphone and crap, the technology already existed, they just brought it together, changed a few things and advertised the hell out of it. That's where they win out, advertising. I swear 90% of that company is the advertising department. >.>

^ What people don't realise.

He was clever in the aspect that he could see what was coming - 'Smart' phones had been around in one way or another before the first iPhone had come out, it's just the way Apple did things was, they made it so it seemed like their product was the best, and sometimes the only, one out there.

Now I'm not saying he never invented anything, I've probably told you all about how he basically envisioned the original GUI, but Apple was very manipulative in how it released its products, and once an idea (e.g. The Apple i(Product) is the best smartphone/music player/tablet, or Apple's iPhone is the original smartphone) is placed into the minds of the masses, that sticks with them for a long, long time.

There are so many puns a person could make on such an occasion, it's so hard to hold back. >.>

Please note; he was a great guy and all, but I bad mouthed him when he was alive at times so the fact of him being alive or not doesn't really make a difference.

It's like that thing where there's that girl at school who spends every day drunk/high/who even knows and everyone says what an idiot she is, then she od's and instantly she's the angle who got caught up in some bad stuff and everyone loved them.
My sympathy goes out to his family/friends, but the fact of the matter is, someone being alive shouldn't change your point of view on that person... Unless they like, used to be a jerk but gave their life to save the world or something... But yeah.

I was a little confused this morning when I logged onto Facebook to see people going "R.I.P Steve Jobs" then I checked BBC News and saw the article.

It's a big unfortunate that he died, you can't really stop cancer and sometimes you aren't given the choice whether you wan't it or not.

I agree with PSP though, even if you dislike Apple or Macs or whatever you have to show him some credit for his success over the years and his influence on the digital world. Even though he got fired from Apple after founding it, he came back with big intentions, and those intentions are what has made Apple so successful.

In the BBC article there was a few quotes from famous entrepreneurs and business people. Even Bill Gates gave a statement to say that it had been a pleasure to get to know him and work with him. These days Bill Gates has very little to do with Microsoft, you would still expect some rivalry between them but for Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to know each other and for Bill to show his respect to him is a good thing.

For 98, I believe Logan put a picture of his Facebook of an iCasket or something.

Today is a sad day for the Digital world, he will be missed.

To be honest, as much as I really have no sympathy for the guy. Steve Jobs did good I mean to be recognized by me and my ignorance, to be mocked and stuff. Good on him he made himself known enough for me to care a slightest.

Also, I don't know why they were saying apple product designs were good they were really unaPEALing to me.

I obviously wasn't meant to post another reply, I tried 4 times at 2 am and nothing seemed to post. >.>

Anyway, I wasn't trying to be offensive or anything, I was just pointing out what the logical processing in my mind concluded from situations such as these. If you don't see my point that's fine, it's just my opinion on the situation. And the schools I went to have nothing to do with it.
