Hello everyone,

In light of the new theme, I am going to be running a competition on the forums for the month of February to encourage members to visit the forum and post more often.

The competition is fairly simple, everyone who visits the forum during the month of February and has posted 25 times during this month will be entered into a prize draw to win...


Yes, you got that right, all you need to do is visit the forum during the month of February and make more than 25 posts this month and you could win a 1 month Runescape membership card.

On March 1st, I will put everyones names into a random name generator and click the "Choose name" button 25 times (number of posts needed). On the 25th click, the name that appears in front of me will be the winner of the 1 month Runescape membership card.

I will travel down to my local town and pick up a shiny 30 day card for the winner out of my own money. I will then contact that player via the forums and also in game if I see them online to let them know and I will send them the card code (Please note that the card will be brought in the UK).

If the winner of the competition doesn't want the 1 month membership card, they may offer it to someone else however, I would like them to consider offering it to someone who can possibly not afford membership often and someone that would enjoy the benefits of having the membership card.


Summary: For your chance to win all you need to do is...

• Visit the forums at least once during the month of February.
  
• Have posted more than 25 posts during the month of February.

I should point out that its not 1 entry per 25 posts, its 1 entry per person. This means that each person will only be put into the draw a maximum of 1 times.

I left the thread open to give those people who don't visit the forum that often the chance to grab a quick post by commenting on the competition.

I dont plan to rig anyones chances of winning. At the end of the day I am grateful that the forum already has more posts than the old one and its been running for a shorter amount of time. I'm really not bothered who wins, I just thought it would be a nice way to give away a prize.

Before anyone asks, No I've not forgotten about the competition. I will be making the video over the weekend and hopefully uploading it as long as my laptop wants to render it.

I've also had to adjust the rules slightly because on the statistics page I still cant view more than the top 10 posters for a month. So I'll be going back to my original rules which was:

• Everyone with more than 25 posts in total on the forums and everyone who visited the forums during the month of February.
  

For anyone who is going to complain and say that means more people will be in the competition now, you'd be surprised. The majority of people who have visited the forums during Feb posted more than 25 posts anyway, other than a few exceptions. I'll post the short list in a bit with everyone who met the requirements.

Yeah I don't really care if there's more people, somehow I wouldn't win it even if there were less people.
