There has to be some sort of crazy psychology to it. How can a person be part of an online chat in a MMO and be drawn back to it, even after years of not even playing Runescape? People come and go, but it is the coming back that is especially interesting, especially the no namers. The people who nobody remembers because they didn't talk much, and its been too many years since they were active. Even those people come back.
When I think 'should I play Runescape again' every time the deciding factor was I don't want to leave behind what is probably the largest influence on my life through my middle school and early high school life. Not Runescape. Global. There are so many memories, so many friends, when I came into Global I was 13 years old. I spent years of my life in global. I've made dozens of good friends and met hundreds of people. Global really influenced me more than High School did. It feels like home, and I don't want to abandon it. We are coming up on our five year anniversary and I feel like Ive missed out on the last year of it.
With that I would like to say that although I will continue to be F2P Runescape I will try my best to be online even in the lobby. I hope to regain my roots in the chat and get to know what is going on again. I will be especially active in skype and on vent.
One of my favorite memories was my bucket collecting. I was the bucket king. I want to regain that title. And I'll do it from F2P I guess.
