This is why I live in Canada. On a more serious note, how about the Nuclear Power plants affected?! Some are said to be venting radioactive gas due to system failures.

From what I saw on the news yesterday they didn't have any problems with nuclear leaks reported, although it could have changed since then with after shocks and such.

On a slightly sour note, some absolute arsehole named Corey something was on this morning (in chat), and I was talking to globalites about the disaster in Japan and how one of my friends was there, and he just goes 'Good, they deserved it.' Then started to rant and rave about his family were unjustly killed by them however long ago, and how they deserved to be nuked and how they're all scum.

People from (insert country here) have killed people, so everyone in (insert country here) deserves to die, obviously.

My mum is in Malaysia and I haven't heard from her, I'm not sure where exactly she is but I'm hoping she was no where near any tsunami. People like Corey need to learn to understand the world. People don't 'deserve' to lose friends and loved ones because of something that someone else was ordered to do in the past.

I was scared shitless when I heard what happened because my aunt/uncle and their child lived 20 or so minutes out side of Tokyo. I called them after I heard what happened but couldn't get ahold of my uncle and was really just fucking scared as hell until around 5am (4hours after I called them) when I found out that they were alright. It's really fucking stupid how people are being extremely racist and offensive towards them, for us Americans they are one of our closest allies. They gave us over 1.6 million dollars when Katrina hit, and it's time for us to return the favor. I feel so bad for them...
